Howard Park
Howard Park is currently undergoing a £2.7 million regeneration due for completion in Spring 2012
Howard Park and Gardens was created as a central part of the world’s first garden city in Letchworth. Over a hundred years since its creation the park continues to play an important role in the life of Letchworth and makes a significant contribution to the quality of life of those live and work in or visit the town.
This £2.7 million project is able to go ahead thanks to an award of £1.84million made by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund through the Parks for People programme, and an investment this funding will provide much needed resources to help renovate this historic and much loved community green space for future generations to enjoy.
