Letchworth Museum & Art Gallery occupies an attractive Edwardian building facing Kennedy Gardens, close to the centre of Letchworth Garden City. The museum has four main galleries.

Downstairs see the local wildlife displayed in realistic settings, and find out about the famous Letchworth Black Squirrel. Halfway up the stairs is the small Mezzanine Gallery, and further on is the main Art Gallery - these both have monthly changing exhibitions.

The Archaeology Gallery shows how people have lived in this area for the past 200,000 years; don't miss the treasures of the local Celtic chieftain. On your way out, visit the museum shop. The museum hosts a lively programme of exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops throughout the year, and welcomes approaches from potential exhibitors.
