Built in 1907, Howgills is one of Letchworth Garden City’s most distinguished and unique early buildings. Commissioned by Juliet Reckitt, daughter of Hull industrialist Sir James Reckitt, as the Meeting House for The Society of Friends (Quakers).

The centrepiece of the building is a large, wood panelled meeting room.

Today, Howgills is not only a place of worship but also home to many local activities and organisations.
